The South's Best Beach Towns

Only topped by Hilton Head, South Carolina, Destin and Panama City Beach have been included on Southern Living's list of The South's Best Beach Towns.

We already know these towns are pretty awesome, though, don't we? But being included on a top 10 list is certainly nice!

And, what's between Destin and Panama City Beach? Our little beach towns along the iconic highway 30A.  This really is the ideal vacation area!

Of course our emerald waters are amazingly stunning, but we also have the prettiest sand and dunes!

The summer storms over the gulf can make for an amazing back drop. (If there's no lightning or it's far away!)

Although Northwest Florida is certainly my home, and I've been here for two decades, this isn't where we are originally from.  Like many folks, we vacationed in the area for several years before my parents decided to make it our permanent residence. 

Okaloosa Island and Destin just pulled us right in!
